Work Hard, Tread Light
At the heart of all ASV equipment is advanced rubber-track undercarriage technology that has been in a continual state of development and refinement for over 15 years. No other equipment comes close to offering the reliability, versatility, low ground pressure and traction that has become the hallmark of ASV.
The basic concepts behind ASV’s rubber track undercarriage technology are simple:
Spread the weight of the machine entirely over a large ground contact area.
This minimizes true ground pressure (psi), reduces stress on the track and maximizes traction.
Provide multiple levels of suspension. This helps absorb irregularities on the ground, increases overall machine stability, gives the operator a smooth ride and increases traction.
Get to know our technology, and you'll see why it is quickly spreading to contractors and landscapers everywhere.

Bemidji, Minnesota January 1, 2002) – Bemidji Outdoor Power Equipment announced today that it will sell and service the new.
RC•50 All Surface Loader, a first-of-its kind machine that dramatically
improves traction, digging, earthmoving and cycle times over conventional
compact equipment. The RC•50, manufactured by ASV Inc., a Caterpillar affiliate, stands apart
because it offers contractors a machine with the same size, weight and capacity as the
most popular skid-steer size, but with the added unique benefits of ASV’s advanced
rubber-tracked undercarriage.
“The RC•50 enhances our product line-up and will provide Bemidji Outdoor Power Equipment customers with a machine that brings greater efficiency, productivity and profitability,”
said Kevin Erpelding, Owner.
The RC•50 achieves these qualities through ASV’s revolutionary RTSS rubber-tracked
undercarriage, which utilizes 15-inch wide rubber tracks and 24-wheeled contact
points to efficiently transfer the weight of the machine to the ground. As a result,
the RC•50 operates with incredible traction and stability not found in other machines, and
with a ground pressure of only 2.7 lbs. per square inch. This gives the RC•50 more
control for conventional work as well as fine grading; multiple levels of suspension for
greater load control and a smoother ride.
The undercarriage also makes the RC•50 the ideal platform for operating industry-standard
attachments like dozer blades, backhoes, augers and snowblowers. In addition
to its numerous other benefits, the track system also allows the RC•50 to tread over
sensitive terrain – turf, sod, pavement – without doing harm.
“The RC•50 is unique in the world of equipment, and we believe will be a great
addition to the construction and landscape market of Northern Minnesota
and beyond,” said Bemidji Outdoor Power Equipment. “It’s a machine that’s powerful, rugged and provides superb productivity
on conventional sites, but is also easy on gentle surfaces.”
